Everyone wants to connect; to have a sense of belonging, of being loved, valued and accepted. As Christians we believe that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can truly find that kind of connection, firstly with God, then with each other and finally with our world.
The cross is that point of connection. An instrument of death, but the central reminder that its through the death and resurrection of Jesus that we find life, love, hope, forgiveness and acceptance. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price so we could know what life is about and why we are here.

The cross also teaches us of God’s grace in our lives, a reminder that we have received so much more than we could ever deserve. We were separated from God, but grace tells us that when Jesus died on the cross a line was drawn in the sand and all that stood between us and a relationship with Him could be forgiven. It is our desire to be a people of grace as we connect with God in worship, connect with each other in community and connect with our world in mission. We are not perfect, and we all experience sadness as well as success, but through all that Jesus has done we have life, faith and hope Jonathan Jankowski (pictured) pastors Grace Community Church with a team of leaders including his wife Alison, Alan Nash, David Goodwin along with a great bunch of other people. |
