In the Community.
As a church we want to serve and help our community, whether individuals or through specific projects.
Playhouse
Every Thursday (during term-time) is Playhouse for
parents and children (aged 0-3 years). There are toys for the
children and a great opportunity for chat and fun. Playhouse has
been running for nearly six years.
Take-a-Break
Take-a-Break – Need a break. Want to make new friends –
then Take-a-Break could be the place for you. This is an opportunity
for older people to meet, enjoy some refreshments, play some games and
enjoy the occasional trip.
Kids Club
Every other Saturday (during term-time) there is Kids Club for children aged 7 – 11. It starts at 10.30am and is a time of fun, games and stories about the Bible.
Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club – A small breakfast provided for children at a nearby school every morning through out the school year.
Keep Fit
During school term time there are keep fit classes run by a trained instructor. Body Moves is for ladies and classes are normally held on Wednesday evenings. Mature Moves is for older people – men and women, and classes are held on Tuesday mornings.
RAMBLE!
Ramble – On the first Tuesday of each month a walk is organised somewhere in the Kent Countryside providing good exercise, friendship and finishing with a hearty lunch.
Finally, the building is used by the YMCA who run a fortnightly club for young people called Monday Madness. There is a Brownies group that meets in the building on Friday evenings. Threshold Learning Centres use the premises to teach young people excluded from school and the building is also used for Mangravet Estate Residents' Association meetings.
